Speaker Bios
Britt Colston, PT, DPT, WCS graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with her
Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012. She began working in the specialty
Pelvic/Women’s Health in 2015 and had dedicated her career to the niche ever since.
Britt has undergone extensive training in physical therapy interventions for all conditions
related to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery and
became a Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist through the American
Board of Physical Therapy Specialists in 2021. Britt now owns her own cash-pay pelvic
health practice and is passionate about changing lives through high-quality and
individualized care.

Dr. Spencer Cowen received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed an Orthopedic Residency at Mercer University, and is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist. He completed a manual therapy fellowship through Northwestern University, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. In addition to full time clinical practice, he serves as adjunct faculty for the Select Medical Orthopedic Residency Program, KORT Clinical Excellence Academy, and Northwestern University Fellowship in Advanced Orthopedic Physical Therapy Practice, Research, and Education. Dr. Cowen is a native of Lexington, KY and currently practices at KORT Physical Therapy in Nicholasville, KY.
Spencer Cowen, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOPT
Lisa Cecil graduated in 2011 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University.
She is an adjunct faculty member at Bellarmine University in Management of the Pediatric
Patient in addition to other courses and is a guest lecturer in the Pelvic Health elective. She has
worked in pediatrics, pelvic health, outpatient, and acute care. She is also a doula in Louisville,
KY. She currently works part time as a pelvic health physical therapist serving pediatrics and
women at Norton Healthcare. Lisa regularly engages in community education regarding pelvic
health topics. She has a special interest in teaching. Lisa is currently working on getting her
PhD in Health Professions Education from Bellarmine University.
Lisa Cecil, PT, DPT
Sarahann Callaway graduated in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Belmont
University. She began taking pelvic health courses in 2014 and began treating patients in pelvic
health in 2015. She has been a guest lab instructor at Arcadia University as well as a faculty
member for the orthopedic PT residency program at University of Chicago 2019-2021. She is a
board certified specialist in orthopedics and has been on the pelvic health committee for the
EDS International Consortium since 2021. She worked in the outpatient hospital setting for 10
years and now owns her own cash based practice in the Philadelphia suburbs where she
specializes in persistent pelvic pain as well as pelvic floor related issues in the hypermobile
population. In 2023 she helped co-author pregnancy and postpartum guidelines with the
international consortium that were published in the PLOS Medicine Journal.
